The effect of cigarette smoking on some blood parameters, blood pressure and renal function test.

This study investigated the effect of cigarette smoking on some hematological test profiles which comprised of complete blood count (CBC) and blood preasure, heart rate and renal function test including blood urea nitrogen (BUN), serum creatinine (Scr). The study included 60 males from students and the staff at Basrah University's: (30) smokers and (30) nonsmokers aged 20-49 years old. The results Showed that white blood cell counts WBC was significantly higher (p<0.05) in 20-49 years of age smokers group compared with nonsmokers group , red blood cell RBC counts , hemoglobin (Hb) and hematocrit (Hct) were significantly higher (p<0.05) in 30-49 years of age smokers group compared with the same ages of nonsmokers, mean corpuscular volume (MCV) was significantly increased (p<0.05) in 20-49 years of age smokers compared with control group, while mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration (MCHC) was significantly lower in 30-49 years of age smokers compared with the same ages of nonsmokers , but no changes significant in mean corpuscular hemoglobin (MCH) and platelet (Plt) count were observed in all age groups (p<0.05). The results Showed that Lymphocytes (Lym) was significantly higher (p<0.05) in 20-49 years of age smokers compared with the same ages of nonsmokers, eosinophils (Eosi) was significantly higher (p<0.05) in 40-49 years of smokers compared with the same ages of nonsmokers . The neutrophil (Neut), monocyte (Mono) and basophil (Baso) showed a non-significant changes in all age groups ((p<0.05) ). Whereas systolic and diastolic blood pressures and heart rate showed a significant increases in the 30-49 years of age smokers compared with the same ages of nonsmokers, serum creatinine (Scr) and blood urea nitrogen (BUN) were significantly higher (p<0.05) in 20-49 years of age smokers compared with the same ages of nonsmokers. The study aims to identify the impact of cigarette smoking on some hematological test profiles which comprised of complete blood count , blood pressure, heart rate and renal function test.
Conclusion: The cigarette smoking causes significant higher increases in WBC, RBC, Hb,Hct,,MCV , Lym and Eosi. count Significantly lower in MCHC ,while no significant in MCH, Plt,, Neut, Mono and Baso. Also there was a significant increases in systolic and diastolic blood pressure, heart rate, serum creatinine and blood urea nitrogen

Evaluation of Two General Anesthetic Regimes by Use Xylazine and Ketamine with atropine and diazepam in Rabbits

The present study was assigned to evaluate and compare two regimes of general anesthesia in rabbits. Twelve adult local breed rabbits from both sexes weighing (1.1-1.6( Kg. were divided equally into two groups each group consisted of six animals. Group(A) was injected intramuscularly by atropine1% at a dose 0.5mg/kg B.W as premedication, after 10min. the animals were injected xylazine 2% and ketamine hydrochloride 10% at a dose of 10 mg/kg, 50mg/kg B.W, respectively. Group(B) were injected intramuscularly by diazepam 10% at a dose 1mg/kg B.W. as premedication, after 10min. the animals were injected as same in group (A). The results of the physiological parameters of the self control at the period of zero time concerning heart rate, respiratory rate and rectal body temperature in group(A) were 147.3±0.577beats/minute; 130±0.577 breath/minute; 38.1±0.577 ºC respectively, while in group(B) were 151.6±0.57 beats/minute; 153.3±0.57 breath/minute; 38±0.57 ºC respectively. The results of physiological parameters at periods 10, 20, 35, 50, 65, 80, and 95minutes in group(A) were 154.1±5.77; 144.6±0.577; 128±0.577; 132.2±0.64; 128±0.577; 124.1±0.577; 132.6±0.577 beats/minute; 47.8±0.577; 47.6±0.577; 41.6±0.577; 39.3±0.577; 41.3±0.577; 39 ±0.577; 47±0.577 breath/minute; 39±0.577; 38.9±0.577; 38.5±0.578; 38.1±0.577; 37.8 ±0.577; 37.5±0.577; 37.2±0.577 ºC, while in group(B) were 157.5±0.57; 150±0.57; 150.6±0.57; 153.3±0.57; 153.8±0.57; 151.7±0.33; 152±0.57 beats/minute; 54±0.57; 49±0.57; 43.3±0.57; 42.3±1.73; 42.8±2.3; 45.6±0.57; 47.6±0.57 breath/minute; 38.8±0.57; 38±0.57; 37.6±0.57; 36.6±0.58; 36.5±0.57; 35.9±0.57; 35.9±1.15 ºC. The results of biochemical tests of GPT and GOT at zero time (self control) in group(A) were 53.1±0.577; 120.6±0.577 U/L, while in group(B) were 51.1±0.57; 118.8±0.57 U/L respectively, and the results at periods 20, 50, 95minutes and 24hours in group(A) were 44.1±0.577; 47.6±0.577; 65.1±1.186; 78.5±0.577 U/L, 109.5±0.577; 96.6±3.52; 109.3±1.154; 141±0.577, while in group(B) were 45.5±0.57; 42.1±0.57; 48±0.57; 69.1±0.57 U/L, 119±0.57; 111±0.57; 110±1.73; 139.8±0.57 U/L, respectively. The conclusion of this study investigate that the induction time, surgical time and recovery time in group(A) and group(B) were 5.8±0.577; 5.1±1.15; 56.6±0.577; 51.5±0.577; 71.6±0.577; 95.3±1.15minutes respectively in which the surgical time was enough for the most of surgical interference, while the induction time and recovery time were smooth in both group when comparison with another anesthetic regimes. From our results it may concluded that use of atropine with xylazine and ketamine exceptional from use diazepam with xylazine and ketamine.

Histological changes of gastric ulcer in rabbits treated with rapebrazole

In order to study the stomach of rabbits, twelve rabbits were divided into three groups, ulcer, treatment and control group. All animals were included in this study were from the animal in house in college of Veterinary Medicine-Karbala University. This work includes anatomical and histological studies to examine for effects of the Rabeprazole during induce ulceration by 20% acetic acid. The present histological effects study revealed that the ulcer group has enumerate changes accrue in mucosa an sub – mucosa. After 4 hours we opened the gastric of ulcer group, showing the inflammation region in internal surface in fundic area but most of internal surface was normal. The main histological changes observed were damage and destroyed of epithelia cell and arrangement of parietal cell as a long cord reach in surface while the parietal cells in control and treatment group as acini-circle shape. By contrast, rabbits of all treated groups showed healing signs, such as reductions of ulcer sizes and inflammatory area, with some extent of mucosal regeneration re-epithelization, glandular organization, and proliferation of connective tissue cells granulation tissue. This study showed that densely fibrosis in sub mucosa in treatment group and less number of inflammatory aggregate cells.

Ultrafast Dynamics Effect in Presence of Different Pulse Width in Semiconductor Optical Amplifier

The dynamics that occur in bulk semiconductor optical amplifier (SOA) like gain and phase dynamics in presence of pulses in subpicosecond and picosecond range are studied numerically. If the passing pulse through SOA in the femtosecond range, the ultrafast effects presented by the compression of gain, phase will appear and as a result, the recovery of them will be fast comparison with the pulse width in the picoseconds range which suffers from slow recovery. The dependence of the studied of the gain and phase on the pulse width was clear and the ultrafast effects present in this paper like spectral hole burning (SHB) and carrier heating (CH) and its effects on pulse chirp are studied extensively.

Effects of gamma irradiation on optical properties of CdS thin film

The effect of gamma-ray radiation on the optical properties of CdS thin film .Thin film were prepared by sol Gel technique .The investigated thin films of 1µm thickness are then irradiated by 25 kGy doses of 137CS(Half time 28 years ) gamma rays. The optical properties of prepared film have been studied using UV-VIS spectrophotometer in the wavelength range 300 nm-1100 nm. Optical constants, such as absorption, extinction coefficient , refractive index ,real and imaginary type of dielectric constant are calculated. The prepared films were found to be of direct energy gap found to be in the range of 2.4 eV before radiation and 2eV after radiation .

Effect of bisphenol-A- on reproductive system of female rats (Rattus Norvegicus)

Bisphenol-A-(BPA) is one of endocrine disruptor substances. The present study was conducted to investigate effect of BPA on reproductive system (reproductive hormones) such as Luteinizing hormone (LH), Follicle stimulating hormone(FSH) and Estradiol (E2)and (reproductive organs) such as ovary and uterus .Twenty four female rats were used and divided into three groups (8 animals for each group) randomly. Animals of first group was negative control group and second group was positive control group received normal saline and corn oil orally respectively, while female rat of third group were received BPA suspended with corn oil (250mg/kg B.W/day) orally as treatment group for 30 days. Results of the present study revealed significant increase (P≤0.05) in serum level of (LH, FSH, and E2) while histopathological changes in ovary include presence cyst-like structure and histopathological changes in uterus including increase in uterine luminal epithelial height and increase in number of uterine glands in the endometrium in group administrated BPA in compared with all other groups

Anewseries of transformation metal complexes of Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II),and Cd(II), with Schiff base (L) bisimine (4,4'-(3,3'-dimethylbiphenyl-4,4'-diyl) bis (azan-1-yl-1-ylidene) bis(methan-1-yl-1-ylidene) bis (2-methoxyphenol)) ligand, type (O4) was prepared by condensation of (vaniline) ( 4-hydroxy 3- methoxybenzaldehyde) with o- Tolidine, by (2:2) metal to ligand molar ratio. The complexes were characterized by metalanalysis, magnetic susceptibility, molar conductance and IR, UV-Vis,1H NMR spectral studies.
From the spectroscopic studies, magnetic moments, mole ratio and physical properties the suggested geometry for the prepared complexes, we suggest the octahedral Cobalt(II) and Copper(II) Complexes with ligand andthe tetrahedral geometry suggested for Manganese(II), Nickel(II), Zinc(II), Cadmium(II)complexes.The results submit that the metal is connective with the ligand during the methoxy and phenolic group.

A Performance of Cellular and Job Shop Manufacturing Systems Using Simulation-A Case Study

Cellular manufacturing that is based on group technology philosophy and job shop are two different manufacturing systems that are used widely in many firms and factories. Each of them have some characteristics suitable for some factories based on the production types and the policies of those factories. A performance measurement is very essential for each factory to identify the effectiveness of its manufacturing system. There are many techniques and formulas that are used to identify the performance of the manufacturing systems. One of the well-known techniques that used widely for this purpose is the simulation. The current paper used Arena software for simulating both cellular and job shop manufacturing systems separately in State Company for Mechanical Industries which is located in Iraq. After comparison by using some performance factors, cellular manufacturing showed better performance than job shop in terms of the average transfer time with percent of improvement (60.03)%, average total manufacturing time with percent of improvement (15.97)%,, average work in process time with percent of improvement (10.94)%,, schedule utilization with percent of improvement (7.93)%, and the average number of output products with percent of improvement (18.84)%.

A Sustainable Strategy to Upgrade Safety at Traffic System

Traffic safety studies based on crashes data are used to enhance safety by specifying appropriate countermeasures. Rather to wait for crash events, that involve losses in human and properties, this paper demonstrates a sustainable strategy to evaluate and upgrade safety at traffic system as well.
The paper demonstrates analysis of traffic conflict "near-crash" data at specified sites in the traffic system. A case study of traffic conflict is performed at selected sites of three legs signalized intersections in Baghdad City. Regression analysis is used to develop model relating observed hourly traffic conflict and average stopped delay. Based on HCM output, a countermeasure is evaluated due to before and after study of average stopped delay and accordingly the involved conflicts based on the developed statistical model.
A developed statistical model indicates that 92.5 % of variation in hourly traffic conflict can be described significantly by average stopped delay. In consequence, more than 35 % of potential conflicts can be reduced due to countermeasures and the highest reduction (62.6 %) is due to increase of lane width. This strategy maximizes the usefulness of conflict study as a sustainable aid to predict the effectiveness of any proposed countermeasure, thereby upgrades safety at any traffic system.

Hydrological Design of Ashour Watershed by Geographic Information System (GIS) .

Optimum Shape of Concrete Flood Walls Under Hydrodynamic Load

2D (Plain strain) wall ‒ water ‒ foundation interaction problem is modeled via ANSYS 11.0 to find the optimum shape of concrete flood walls considering the principle of fluid‒soil‒structure interaction analyses. Concrete gravity and cantilever flood walls types are subjected to hydrodynamic and impact loads have been considered in this research. Hydrodynamic load are a function of a wave velocity and structural geometry. Low velocity hydrodynamic forces are defined as situations where floodwater velocities do not exceed 3 m/sec, while high velocity hydrodynamic forces involve floodwater velocities in excess of 3 m/sec. Impact loads are imposed on the structure by debris carried by the moving water. The optimization process is simulated by ANSYS /APDL language programming depending on the available optimization commands. The components of the optimization process are the objective function (OBJ) is to minimize the cross‒sectional area of the concrete flood walls, the state variables (SVs) are the factors of stability (sliding 〖FS〗_s and overturning 〖FS〗_o) and safety (maximum stress of foundation q_max , exit gradient 〖FS〗_eg , and uncracked section e) of the flood wall, and the design variables (DVs) are the dimensions of the wall. The results showed that the optimum design method via ANSYS is a successful strategy prompts to optimum values of cross‒sectional area with both safety and stability factors as compared with ordinary design. For gravity flood wall the reduction percentage of safe section area is 17.64%; while for cantilver flood wall, the reduction percentage of both safe section area and reinforcement are 0.8% and 27.76%; respectively. In other hand, it has been taking various heights of gravity and cantilver flood walls as 0.90m, 1.20m, and 1.50 m for gravity flood wall and 2.40m, 2.75m, and 3m for cantilever flood wall. The results showed that when the height of gravity flood wall is increased by 33.30% from (0.90 to 1.20m), the optimum cross-sectional area increases in a percent of (52.6%). While, in cantilever flood wall, the optimum cross‒sectional area is increased by 46.89% when the value of the height are increased by (25%) from 2.40 to 3m. Moreover, from studying several common sections of gravity flood walls which have been designated in this research as sections (1 to 4), it is found that section 2 is the most safe compared with other sections.

The effect of digoxin on the enzymatic activity of glutamate oxaloacetate transaminase.

The investigation of glutamate oxaloacetate transaminase (GOT) activity to search the effect of digoxin drug on the enzyme activity of GOT, which this work carried out on sera (22) sample healthy individual in vitro. The result demonstrate that increased activity and non significance variation (P< 0.07), when comparison of enzymatic activity with drug with that of enzymatic activity without drug for the same each sample. The activation percentage equal to (251%). Also experimented the volume effect from stock (0.5mg/2ml ), which the volume was give maximum activation equal to (40 µℓ).

Hormonal study to infertile women infected by Toxoplasma gondii parasite in different stage of disease in the Holy Karbala city

This research on the impact of female infertility due to the parasite Toxoplasma Gondi infection on defended stage of disease and level of the thyroid hormones during the year 2014-2015 in the holy city of Karbala, where the study took 120 women suffering from infertility them 60 samples were positive to infected T . gondii parasite and 60 of infertile women non infected by parasite , collected the serum from all the samples and then examined in the laboratories of the Medical city of Karbala on injury parasite at various stages of the disease to the level of antibodies is different from (immunoglobulin G and immunoglobulin M) and then were examined thyroid hormone levels the hormone (thyroxine , triiodothyronine, and stimulation thyroid hormone) to them. The study showed that there is a relationship between antibodies to the parasite Toxoplasma in various stages of injury and age, where the distribution of antibodies to Toxoplasma serology positive in the relationship between age significantly in both cases that carry Toxoplasma IgM (severe cases) compared with IgG (chronic) in the level of the probability (P> 0.05) moral value of (0.028, 0.019) also did not find a significant difference in other infections parasite carryover the results also showed that there are no relationship between thyroid hormone levels of thyroid with different age in the study groups, but nevertheless we see that there are relevant differences statistically significant differences in the level of a hormone (T3 (T4, TSH, and the level of antibodies moral value of (0.043, 0.036, 0.028), respectively, below the level of probability (P> 0.05) when a chronic condition at a high level of immune globulin IgG Toxoplasma and the level of thyroid and low hormone in the control group. so were the recommendations to verify the level of hormones thyroid patients living with severe antibodies to Toxoplasma parasite to avoid the causes of the damage from the impact of the parasite in the body of patients.

Knowledge regarding osteoporosis among female college students: a sample from Nursing and Technical College of Health and Medicine

Osteoporosis has emerged as one of the most significant public health problem in the world especially in developing countries. To evaluate the knowledge regarding osteoporosis among a sample of female Nursing and Technical College of Health and Medicine students. A cross-sectional study including 150 female students from Nursing College, Technical College of Health and Medicine/ Baghdad, during November and December 2014, they were subjected to previously structured questionnaire covering many aspects of osteoporosis distributed in 4 main domains and the students responses were analysed by frequency, percentages and percent score for each question and mean percent score for each domain. Mean percent scores (77% and 60%) for aetiological factor and medical reason domains while (82% and 79%) for complications, and ways of prevention and treatment domains. Satisfactory knowledge level regarding oosteoporosis among study sample.

Focusing of Charged Particles Beam by Double Quadrupole Triplet Electrostatic Lenses

A study it was presented to understand the behavior of charged particles beam through consideration systems of double Quadrupole Triplet Electrostatic Lenses reaching to the optimum design. In this work , tracing the path of charged particles beam has been done within the free field space and double quadrupole electrostatic lens, by using matrices to described particle trajectories throughout the system, matrix representation deals with ion beam as bunched and representing phase ellipse for both horizontal and vertical planes. The present work investigate the effect of changing the main parameters of double Quadrupole Triplet Electrostatic Lenses such as [extraction region shape, length of quadrupole, the distance between the quadrupole lenses, voltage applying on lenses and second field free region length].
A computer program written in (MATLAB) language to trace the path of charged particles beam with a system of double Quadrupole Triplet Electrostatic Lenses has been built in the present work. The results indicate good focusing properties.

Effect of perioperative subcojunctival gentimcin as prophylaxis against acute postcataract surgery endophthalmitis in Al-Sader medical city in Najaf

Purpose: To investigate the effect of use of subconjunctival injection gentimicin as propylaxis against acute postoperative endophthalmitis (POE) following cataract surgery in Al-Sader medical city in Najaf during a 10 months period.
Methods: Clinically presumed cases of postoperative endophthalmitis ( POE) were reported in a prospec-
tive survey involving ophthalmic clinic for all ophthalmologist that doing the operation inside Al-Sader medical city except one who is give topical
gentamicin following cataract surgery . Data on result
on 2 qroups 1st taken subconjunctival gentamicin and 2nd not, as well as patient age and gender and various elements of the surgical procedure, were collected.Then I follow-up all the patient for 4weeks for acute post operative endophthalmitis.
Aim of the study;To know if the subconjunctival gentamicin following cataract surgery is benifitial as prophylaxis against acute post operative bacterial endophthalmitis or not.

A histological study for the effect of Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy on muscular contusions in Iraqi Arabian horses.

Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is regarded as a modern therapeutic technique in horses, so there are few researches .
The study is conducted on eight Iraqi Arabian horses, which are divided equally and randomly into two groups, treatment and control group. Autologous PRP is prepared for treatment group. All experimental horses are exposed to hard trauma causing muscular contusions. Treatment group were treated two times a week for six weeks.
Due to the effect of many growth factors, the results show benefit effect of PRP, perfuse granulation tissue which is characterized by excellent proliferation of fibroblasts and highly proliferation of endothelial cells to form new blood vessels.

Study of Physiological and Histological Changes in Rabbits induced with Hepatic Coccidiosis

In this study, 20 rabbits belonging to different ages, sexes but all these rabbit in same breed (local breed) during 1/6/2012- 31/12/2012. The rabbits were divided into two groups (10 rabbits each group). The first group was designated as healthy control group. Second group rabbits were infected Hepatic coccidiosis induction in 10 rabbits with 8.000 sporulated oocysts of E. stiedae. Clinically, the severely affected rabbits showed decreased growth rate, anorexia, debilitation, listlessness, diarrhea, and rough hair coat.
Haematological analysis showed RBC, Hb, PCV, MCV value as well as percentage of lymphocyte decreased in infected group compared with control whereas WBC and percentage of neutrophiles, eosinophiles and basophiles increased.
Serum bilirubin, creatinin, uric acid, ALT and AST activities increased but albumin value decreased. Plasma MDA concentrations increased. Mean oocyst numbers in per gram faeces increased in infected group during the study. Postmortem examinations revealed hepatomegly, with presence of discrete yellowish-white nodules 1mm to 1cm size on the surface and throughout the parenchyma, was seen. Bile ducts were dilated. The livers of these animals were enlarged and typical macroscopic and microscopic findings of coccidiosis were present. Necropsy of these animals showed no visible lesions related to hepatic coccidiosis although a few oocysts were detected in the bile duct epithelial cells.

Estimating Radioactivity in Various Types of Milk using NaI (Tl) detector

In this research, uranium (238U), thorium ,(232Th) and potassium (40K) specific activity in (Bq/kg) were measured in 10 different types of milk that are available in iraqi markets. The gamma spectrometry method with a NaI(Tl) detector has been used for radiometric measurements. Also we have calculated the radiation hazard indices (radium equivalent activity and internal hazard index) and ingestion effective dose in all samples.
It is found that the specific activity in milk samples were varied from (0.274±0.158) Bq/kg to (7.851±0.877) Bq/kg, for 238U, for 232Th from (0.821±0.273) Bq/kg to (3.067±0.569) Bq/kg and for 40K from (266.558±5.018) Bq/kg to (485.740±7.197) Bq/kg. Also, it is found that the radium equivalent activity and internal hazard index in milk samples ranged from (27.341) Bq/kg to (48.035) Bq/kg and from (0.07867) to (0.14720) respectively. But the range of summation of the ingestion effective dose were varied from (4.861×10-5) Sv/y to (1.541× 10-4) Sv/y. This study proves that the natural radioactivity, radiation hazard indices and ingestion effective dose were lower than the safe, except the some value of potassium.

Background :Vascular lesions of the head and neck are wide range of different pathologies including haemangiomas and vascular malformations. The diagnosis is usually clinical . The vascular elements and blood flow are better diagnosed by angiography . Vascular lesions require treatment when they are symptomatic or causing patient discomfort. A number of therapeutic ways and procedures were proposed for the management of vascular lesions including systemic and intralesional steroids , intralesional sclerosing agents , interferon , laser therapy, embolization , cryotherapy as well as radiation. Ethanolamine oleate is an organic chemical compound as a primary amine and a primary alcohol can cause a dose related inflammatory reaction when introduced inside the tissues leading to fibrosis and reduction of the size affecting lesions.

A simple and accurate spectrophotomitric method for determination of chlorpromazine )CPZ( in pure form and in dosage forms. The current method was developed based on chlorpromazine oxidative coupling reaction using picric acid in presence of sodium periodate to form red product was measured at 526 nm. Beer's law was in the linear range 4 - 60 μg/ml of CPZ, the molar absorptivity, Sandellʼs sensitivity index and detection limit were (0.5×104 ) liter., 0.0592 μ and (0.355)μg/ml respectively. The RSD value was (0.154 ) % depending on the concentration. The results showed that this method can be successfully applied for the determination of CPZ in pure and in pharmaceutical formulations.

Toxoplasma the cat transmitted parasite, is a major health problem and can infect human at any ages of life time. University students are very important part of the community, therefore the aim of the study was to screen for anti-Toxoplasma antibody among Kirkuk university student, because latent Toxoplasma can led to hormonal disturbance, self-violence and schizophrenia. For this purpose, one hundred and ninety serum samples were collected from Kirkuk University students. Serum samples were examined for Toxoplasma gondii antibody by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay. The overall incidence of Toxoplasma was 21.5%, with an equal rate (11%) for both IgG and IgM antibody. The frequency of the parasite in both male and female were higher in 21-22 years with rate of 20, 32.6% for each of male and female respectively. Some behavior like blood receipting, gardening, eating under cooked meat and keeping cat at residence had positively affected the parasite prevalence. Toxoplasma is prevalent among Kirkuk University student, therefore attention is better to be taken to this important part of the community to grantee a healthy offspring capable of building the country.

Language is not only a mean of communication since it infuses our knowledge with our thoughts, believes, actions and behaviors and these represent the culture of any society. Thus learning a foreign language in fact is learning a foreign culture. Because of that, most educators agree that cultural awareness is an important aim in foreign language learning. Textbooks are generally considered the pivotal source of the teaching material of most sciences in Iraq. Hence, textbooks play an important role in any program designed for learning a foreign language and are considered the major source for disseminating cultural elements of the target language.
Textbooks content analysis is used as a method to identify categories of the content of textbooks. The present study tries to shed light on the state of culture in Iraqi textbooks used to teach English as a foreign language in general and high school textbooks in particular. The study aims at estimating which culture is manifested in English high school textbooks, besides which categories of culture are most mentioned.
After analyzing sixth preparatory English language textbook, results reveal that the most dominant type of culture is culture free reference. Results also show that the social category is the most mentioned category. The study concludes that sixth preparatory textbook does not pay enough attention to target language culture.

Effect of sowing dates and spraying with salicylic acid and their interaction on growth and yield of seeds and volatile oil of Coriandrum sativum L.

The present study was conducted during the growing season of 2015/2016 in the Field of Agricultural College, Basrah University, to study the effect of three sowing dates of Local Corundum plant (Coriandrum sativum L.) i.e 10, 20, 3010 and spraying with salicylic acid 0, 35 and 70 mg. l-1and their interaction on growth and yields of seed and volatile oil at a Complete Randomized Block Design in a factorial experiment with three replicates. The results analyses with Least Significant Differences Test (L.S.D) at 0.05 level. The most important results obtained were:-
Plants sown on 20/10 gave a significant increase in plant height, fresh and dry weight of vegetative growth. plant-1 , whereas plants sown on 10/10 gave a significant increases in weight of 100 seeds, seed yield. plant-1, volatile oil yield. plant-1( 1.173, 4.163 and 2.733 g) and potassium content, while plants sowed on 30/10 gave a significant increases in leaves content of nitrogen and phosphorus.
Plants sprayed with salicylic acid gave a significant increases in dry weight of vegetative growth, number of inflorescences.plant-1, seeds number. inflorescence-1, weight of 100 seeds, seed yield. plant-1, volatile oil percentage, volatile oil yield. plant-1, the effect increases as the concentration increased, the highest values were 18.0 seed, 1.143, 4.481g, 0.763%, 3.366g, as well as leaves content of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium.
The Interactions between the studied factors, showed a significant effect only in weight of 100 seeds and volatile oil yield. plant-1.

That used (15) of male rabbits and were randomly divided into two groups. The first a group was control group injected with distilled water, and the second group was the group treated with a drug digoxin dose of 0.02 mg / kg body weight per day intravenously for a period (60 days) Done taking blood samples from both groups to measure the concentration of some biochemical parameters and estimate the level of enzymatic Aspartate Transminase (AST) and enzyme Alanine Transminase (ALT), Cholesterol (Chol) Triglyceride (TG) High Density Lipoproteins (HDL) Low Density Lipoproteins (LDL) Very Low Density Lipoproteins (VLDL) in the blood, as well as knowledge of the impact on histological structure on the heart and liver.The results of the study showed significant increase P <0.05)) in the concentration of enzyme ALT, AST, increase in Cholesterol (Cho), Very Low Density Lipoproteins , lipoproteins and a low-density Low Density Lipoproteins, and Triglyceride compared with control group. The study showed a significant decrease P <0.05)) in the level of the high density Lipoproteins compared with control group and the study indicate that drug digoxin have a clear impact on the heart and liver tissue.

The search showed there were many changes in the Morphological Characteristics of the Pollen in the Species Studied including the results of disparity in the lengths of the Polar and Equatorial shapes of Pollen and the types of ornamentation the characteristic in the presence spines in Pollen grains of Asteraceae Species

Study of concentration of some heavy metals in different water sources of Samarra city middle of Iraq.

In this study, the different sources of water samples was taken from tap water ,well water and river water from Samarra city then determined amount of heavy metal like lead,iron, cupper ,zinc and cadmium as well as sulfate amount. In general the result of heavy metal was high in tap water than river water and well water and the concentration of lead , iron and cadmium was higher than standard limitation of drinkink water. The concentration of lead was 2.22 ppm while cadmium 0.2 ppm and the concentration of iron 1.75ppm. The concentration of cupper was in standard limitation of drinkink water was 0.1ppm also zinc was 0.08ppm. sulfate concentration was in tap water sample with the limits and less than river water and well water was 65 ppm .The high concentration of heavy metal in tap water is the indicate of limitation of water distribution network and older of treatment station and storage tanks.

Optimization of some amylolytic enzymes (amylases) production by locally isolates of Bacillus spp

Twenty Bacillus spp bacterial isolates (amylolytic enzyme producers) were obtained from 75 isolates which isolated from 12 soil samples from different parts of holly Karbala governorate , isolates number 5 and 17 were the most efficient for alpha-amylase and glucoamylase production respectively . Optimum environmental and culture condition has been determined for the production of alpha-amylase enzyme from isolate No. 5 by using the production media Soluble starch Yeast extract Trypton medium (SYT) that contains lactose with concentrate 1% as source of carbon and mixture of yeast extract and trypton with concentration 0.2% as source of nitrogen, the media wase support by NaCl2 , CaCl2 , MgSO4 , KH2PO4 and K2HPO4) with total concentration 0.26 as source of mineral salts . The primary pH adjusted to 7 , inoculum size was 5% and incubate for 24 hours in 42c̊ and 120 rpm/min. While the optimization of glucoamylase production from Bacillus licheniformis isolate no. 17 have been determined by using production medium (SYT) that contains soluble starch with concentration 1% as source of carbon and yeast extract with concentration 0.2 % as source of nitrogen. The media was supported by ( Nacl , CaCl2 , KH2PO4 and K2HPO4) with total concentration 0.26 as source of mineral salts. The The primary pH adjusted to 6.5 , inoculum size was 5% and incubate for 24 hours in 37c̊ and 120 rpm/min.

study of repellent and attractant effect of aqueous and Ethanolic of some plant extracts against adults of house flies Musca domistica ( Diptea : Muscidae )

This study was conducted in the laboratories of the Department of biology / College of Education Pure Sciences for the period from 2015 to 2016 where used aqueous (hot and cold) and Ethanolic extracts plants are Harmala Peganum harmala , Eucalyptus spp ,and Myrtus communis , as repellants or attractants to adults housefly , Musca domestica .
The relationship between percentages and the strength of repellent and attraction of the different kinds of plant extracts in various concentrations with duration of exposure adult insect, the results indicated that all plant , aqueous (hot and cold) and Ethanolic extracts had done repellent for adults housefly at all concentrations used in the study, and the percentages of repellants higher than percentages of attraction in all concentrations of the experiment., And that the highest repellent percentages may have occurred in the first hour after exposing the adult aqueous extracts and alcoholic Myrtle and eucalyptus , while the highest repellent percentages after 24 hours of cold aqueous extracts of harmala , A higher repellent percentages 66.2% in the aqueous extract of the plant harmala recorded by focusing 10 mg / ml after 24 hours of treatment. While the highest percentages of attractions of adults house fly recorded after 48 hours of exposure to aqueous and Ethanolic extracts of myrtle and eucalyptus , while the highest attracting of adults was recorded after 24 hours of exposure to hot aqueous extract, the highest percentages of attracting 33.3% of the ethanolic extract of myrtle at a concentration of 10 mg / ml after an hour of the treatment. Cold and hot aqueous extracts of plants and Harmala, myrtle and Eucalyptus showed more effective in their repellent percentages than Ethanolic extracts . The highest attractant percentages of ethanolic extracts of harmala and myrtle while hot aqueous extracts of Eucalyptus .

New record of the Asiatic garden beetle, Maladera castanea (Arrow) ( Coleoptera : Scarabaeidae ) in the ornamental Nurseries in Karbala – Iraq.

This study included field surveys in the ornamental nurseries in Al-Hafudh / Karbala - Iraq. The survey results revealed a presence of the Asiatic garden beetle Maladera castanea ( Coleoptera: Scarabaeidae ) Which was new record in Iraq. The identification of this insect was confirmed by the research's center and Natural History Museum / Baghdad University. It was found that insect was introduced in Iraq during 2014 with the ornamental plants shipments from Syria and became important pest which causing great injury to ornamental nurseries in the study area. It found that the beetle larvae attacke these plant roots (Callistep chinensis , Rosa damascene , Hedera helix , Yucca sp and Phoenix sp ) while its adults attacked the leaves of plant ( Conocarpus sp , Biota orientalis and Tagetes sp ) in the study area.

Simultaneous determination of Amiloride hydrochloride by Ion Selective Membrane Electrodes

The electrode gave good properties can depending to determination of AMY since it give good response to the low concentration , The ooptimum conditions of the determination wife . Concentration of fully internal solution was 0.01M at pH range 2.5-5 , Temperature 25C , linearity was 10-5-10-1 M ,Slop was 58 , R2=0.992 electrode age was 40 days and the selectivity was less than 1 .

Molecular study for Paraoxonase1 gene( PON1)and lipid profile in artherosclrosis Patients

This study was a case-control study conducted from AL-Zahraa Teaching Hospital in February 2015 to January 2016. The study was carried out at the coronary care unit / in Kerbala province/Iraq and Pathological laboratory analyzes Hussein Teaching Hospital by taking 150 patients consist of (75) myocardium infarction patients (57 male and 18 female) and (75) angnia pectoris patients with an average age (31-88 year),.Also, the study included 50 apparently healthy individuals who were (35 male and 15 female). the study included measurement of lipid profile total Cholesterol (TC) concentration in the blood and Triglycerides (TG) and the concentration of the High Density Lipoproteins for cholestrol (HDL-C) and Low Density Lipoproteins for cholestrol (LDL-C) and Very Low Density Lipoproteins for cholestrol (VLDL-C) . In this study,the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) was used for mutant PON1 gene identification in artherosclorosis patients. The present study showed significant increase P <0.05 in TC ,TG ,HDL-C ,VLDL-C and significant decrease P <0.05 in HDL for myocardium infarction and angnia pectoris patients both males and females. The present study identified PON1 gene (99bp) ratio (45.33) in Myocardium infarction patients and (37.33) in angnia pectoris patients. The present study showed positive relationship between family history for both genes occure also showed effect of smoking ,high blood pressure and diabetes on occure of PON1 genes in all patients.

Characterization of Partial purified alpha-amylase enzyme produced from locally isolate Bacillus licheniformis

Alpha-amylase enzyme produced from No.5 isolate which its efficiency in production among 24 isolates as Bacillus spp .This isolates was identified depending on the morphological character ,microscopical and biochemical tests . The crud enzyme extract which produced from isolated in this study wwere partial purified starting by using 60% saturation ammonium sulphate precipitation and dialysis , followed by batch manner ion exchange by using DEAE-Sepharose CL-6B and finally gel filtration step by using Sephadex G-75 The yield enzyme was 34.144% and the purification fold was 4.286. The molecular weight of enzyme was estimated to 56.25 KD as then gel filtration nose and way above. The optimum pH of enzyme activity was 7, whil the rang of pH stability from 5 to 8. The optimum temperature for enzyme activity was 50 c̊ ,while the rang of heat stability was from from 20-60 c̊. Mechalis mention constant (Km) and maximum velocity (Vmax) valus were 7.143 mg/ml and 66.666 mg/ml/min respectively.The effect of Calcium and magnesium chloride metal ions were activator for enzymes produced. Maltose sugar was Relative flaw Rf value equal to 0.5 is the main product of hydrolysis of starch by alpha-amylase enzyme that’s partial purified by using thin layer Chromatography (TLC) Thin Layer Cromotography technique.

Production of Building Blocks Using Lightweight Crushed Waste Siporex

The positive impact of lightweight blocks makes it important on houses and buildings, especially in Iraq because of the severe climate while it is very hot in summer and cold in winter. Lightweight units have a good capability in acoustic insulation, thermal presence, and reduce dead loads, as well as the speed at construction work, and more economically. This research includes several concrete mixtures comprising of breaking siporex as rough aggregate and at different percentages (replacement 25% (CS-25%), replacement 50% (CS-50%), and replacement 100 % (CS-100%)) and compare those with a reference mixture which is including natural aggregate. The results shows that the compressive strength ratio of the non-loaded building units blocks are decreased than the reference mixture, i.e. the reduction are (57% ,58% ,69%) and (59% ,54% ,66%) and (59% ,51% ,66%) of the mixtures (CS-100%, CS-50%,and CS-25%), at ages of 7, 14, and 28 days, respectively. As well as, above compressive strength of loaded units decrease with (73% ,72% ,79%) and (59% ,54 % ,66%) and (59% ,51% ,71%) for the mixtures (CS-100%, CS-50%,and CS-25%) at ages of 7, 14 ,and 28 days, respectively. The dry density results are recorded at lowest value at 28 days for the mix CS-100%, i.e. 1287 kgm3, while the lowest result of the absorption was found in the mixture CS-25% is 4.38%. At age 28 days the lowest results of the thermal conductivity were lowest results was recorded for the mixture CS-100% i.e. (0.359 W/m.K).

isolate and identify endophytic fungi from Leaves Eucalyptus Camaldulensis and Their Antifungal Activity against fungal pathogens.

Laboratory experiments were carried out in the postgraduate laboratories Biology Department – College of Education for pure Sciences /Karbala University . The Study aimed to isolate and identify endophytic fungi from Leaves Eucalyptus Camaldulensis and their antifungal activity against some plant fungal pathogens.
Results showed isolation of 53 isolates endophytic fungi from 120 segments of leaves representing colonization frequency of 44.17% . Isolated fungi included different species of Penicillium which prevail over other species (3 species), and two different isolates of Aspergillus , one isolate species of Alternaria, Cladosporium, Paecilomyces and Mycelia sterilia (Hyaline).
Results showed variation in colonization frequencies within all species isolated from plant leaves. Dual culture methods for testing antagonistic activity of isolated endophytes against three plant fungal pathogens Fusarium oxysporium, Fusarium graminearum and Rhizoctonia solani .
The results showed different antagonistic activities with different endophytes and pathogens. antagonistic activity was evaluated as percentage of inhibition of fungal pathogen. These results give indication of the efficiency of using endophytic as fungi as a biocontrol agents in agricultural application against fungal plant pathogens.

Vegetative growth response of four genotypes of maize for supplemental nitrogen fertilizer levels

A field experiment was carried out during the autumn season of 2015 in Abu Gharaq area, (10 km west of the Hillah city) to study the response of four maize genotypes to nitrogen fertilizer levels as whole or split application. Factorial experiment was carried out in split plot arrangement within randomized complete block design (RCBD) with three replications . Four genotypes of maize (US hybrid , Hispanic hybrid , Euphrates hybrid and popcorn ) put insub-plot and main main-plot included nitrogen fertilizer (urea 46%N) in five treatments (0 , 100 kg N.ha-1as whole or split application , 200 kg N.ha-1as whole or split application) . Maize genotype were differ significantly in most of the traits , popcorn was superior in plant height (186.03 cm), number of leaves (16.22 ) ,plant leaf area (6671 cm 2) , leaf area index (3.55). American hybrid was superior in stem diameter (15.07 mm) .Nitrogen fertilizer treatments were differ in their effect , in which 100 kg application as one timewas superior in plant height (161.05 cm). Nitrogen fertilizer treatments did not differ in number of leaves , leaf area , leaf area index, stem diameter , days number to 50% female flowering. The interaction between popcorn (surur var.) with the addition of 200 kg N.ha-1(as split application in two parts) in plant height (191.33 cm) and leaf area (6805 cm 2). And the same genotype with 100 kg N.ha-1(as whole) in the number of leaves (16.66) and leaf area index (3.7). American hybrid interaction with the addition of 200 kg N.ha-1(as split in two parts)was superior in stem diameter (15.40 mm).

Preparation of local structural media for lactic acid production from commercial isolate Lactobacillus delbrueckii

Lactic acid discovered at 1780 and its had many application in food industries such as acidulant ,preservative and material for organic synthesis. Commercial Lactobacillus delbrueckii isolate of has been used in the production of lactic acid from sweet bovine whey supplemented with local renewable resources The study used cane sugar molasses and date waste juice (5,10,15,20,25)% (w/v) as carbon sources and yeast extract ,urea ,ammonium salphate percentage as nitrogen sources (0.2 , 0.4 , 0.6 , 0.8 ) % (w/v) . the study showed:
* The commercial isolate was ferment the un supplemented whey during 48 hr . at 45c and pH 6 , its lactic acid production as 3.5 gm/100 ml whey with conversion efficiency 18.6%.
* When the molasses was added (5, 10, 15, 20, 25)% (w/v) the study showed increased lactic acid amount to (4.7, 5.8, 6.9, 18.5, 33.9)gm/100 ml whey with conversion efficiency (44.7, 19.3, 22.5, 28.3, 81.5) % respectively.
*On the other hand our study showed the addition of date waste juice (5,10,15,20,25) % (w/v) increased lactic acid amount as (4.8, 6.7, 10.7, 20.7, 29.5) gm /100 ml whey with conversion efficiency (43.7, 22.8, 20.8, 44.7, 52.8) % respectively.
*The generally treatment (whey and 25% molasses) was selected as a fermentation medium for the production of lactic acid it is also supplemented by different nitrogen sources, the results showed:
*The addition of ammonium salphate (0.2, 0.4, 0.6, 0.8) % (w/v) increased lactic acid amount to (4.8, 5.3, 5.5, 5) gm /100 ml whey with conversion efficiency (28.3, 75.73, 66.5, 71.42) % respectively. and The addition of urea as nitrogen source did not exert any change in the amount of lactic acid product. While The addition of yeast extract (0.2, 0.4, 0.6, 0.8) % (w/v) the result illustrated increased lactic acid amount was (4.9, 6.5, 21.7, 31.9) gm /100 ml whey with conversion efficiency (71.22, 66.77, 86.55, 89.65) % respectively. On the other hand molasses 25% and whey +0.8%yeast extract was selected as best medium for lactic acid production.

Estimation of percentage and diameters of red and white muscles fibers Barbus luteus (Heckle,1843) fishes in Karbala province .

The present study deals with estimation of percentage and diameters of red and white muscles fibers of one species of Teleost , which Barbus luteus (Heckle , 1843) which belongs to family family Cyprinidae , collection study sampling from AL-Hindia River in holy Karbala province by use Gill nets and Cost nets , The appear study Results has differ clear in ranges values to the study length groups , The present study shows the percentage of red muscles fibers were fewer than the white muscle fibers on different body regions (R1,R2,R3) among species .
The proportion of red muscle fibers values ranged between (2.72 – 6.47 %) while were the proportions of white muscle fibers ranged between (97.12 - 93.27 %) in studied fish , and showed increase the proportions of red muscle fibers towards (caudal peduncle) posterior region of fish body because important role in fishes swimming and movement .
Therefore, Barbus luteus fishes put in Sprinters fishes depend on the proportion of white muscle fibers in muscular tissue in fish body .
The study results show differ the diameters of red muscle fibers which between (13.34 – 57.42 micron) , either the diameters of white muscle fibers were ranged between (31.29 – 75.41 micron) , both diameters of the red and white muscle fibers decrease of the average of the towards the posterior region (caudal peduncle) of fish studied , Therefore consider this study first locally .

The Statistical Analysis Of Groundnuts Productivity In Iraq Of (2004 – 2010) Duration

The objective of the research is to achieve the stastistcal analysis of Groundnuts productivity (kg/ha) which was farmed in Iraq of (2004-1010) duration by using 1. Parametric Test ( One Way – ANOVA Test ) . 2. Non Parametric Test )Mann-Whitney Test (.The following two comparison were achieved : 1. By comparion between Diala and Al-Anbar governorates of (2004-2010) duration . The result indicated that were significand differences at 0.05 level of significance between them. The best was Al-Anbar governorate which had higher productivity average . 2. By comparion through time among seven years in Iraq of (2004-1010) duration . The result indicated that were no significand differences at 0.05 level of significance through the duration . this result indicated that was not any Groundnuts growth in Iraq .The Groundnuts productivity was low when it compared with the productivity of the wor1d countries , For example: ,U.S.A , Egypt ,Turkey , China and Japan . Thus , the important suggestion is to do our best on reaching to higher productivity level.

Response of four genotypes of maize (Zea mays L.) under water stress

A field experiment was conducted during fall season of 2014 in Babylon ALMusaib reign .The objectives were study the response four genotypes of maize (Zea mays L.) under water stress ,using (RCBD) design as afactorial experiment with split arrangement in three replicates .The genotype (Dania, Rabee, Baghdad and bhoth106 )were main plots and the irrigation intervals were secondary plots . The seeds were planted on 15/7/2014 The treatment of 7 days irrigation gave high yield (118.3 gm.plant-1) for genotype Baghdad . while the irrigation intervals 14 day gave high yield (85gm.plant-1) for both genotype (Baghdad ,bhoth106) . The genotype Baghdad gave (67day ,323.65 grain and 93.83 gm) respectively in 75% flowering , grain number ,weight of 300 gm in first irrigation 7 days ,the genotype bhoth106 gave (215 cm ,729.85 cm2 ) respectively in plant height and leaves area . It can take advantage of the genetic composition of Baghdad to improve yield of maize under conditions of water stress and enter in breeding programs to produce hybrids with the ability to withstand drought.

The Influence of Foliar Application of Manganse and Boron on som Quantity and Quality Characteristic for maize (Zea mays L.) Under water stress conditions

This experiment was conducted in private field at Al- Mussiab reigion during spring season 2014, to study the effect of water stress by using foliar application concentrations of boron and Manganese on some Quantity and Quality characters for (Zea mays L.) grain yield, bioloyical yield, chlorophyll content, proline and Absisic acid (ABA) content of maize cultivar 5012.
Spilt plot design arrangement within (RCBD) with three replicates were used three concentration of spraying Manganese (0, 20, 40) mg Mn. L-1. as Mn-EDTA (13%Mn) and three concentrations of spraying Boron (0, 3, 6) mg B. L-1 as Boric acid (17%B were used as ofliar fertilizer at three levels (25, 50, 75)% of available water. Foliar fertilizer were applied at three times during at (40, 60, 80) day after planting. The resuts of these experiments were sumarized as follows :
Grain yield, biological yield and chlorophyll content increased with the increase in Manganese and Boron consentrations. The varieties differ significantly between Manganese levels and water stress levels in most characters. Chlorophyll content increased with the interaction between water stress level x Boron levels. Also the most of characters were significantly influenced by interaction between moisture level x Manganese and Boron concentrations. The two nutrient (Mn and B) do not effect in ABA content, ABA increase with water stress.

A compound alginic acid and its salts are widely used in industry,it is used as gels. since the study in the liquid state for alginic acid and its salts has an extreme importance in the industrial, pharmaceutical and food products, the existence of a relationship between increased concentration of dissolved material in influencing the solution viscosity and change some characteristics in shell formed by salts alginit thickness. factor prominent and important to know the accuracy use in several areas, including insulating materials used in manufacturing dental industry. In this research alginic acid was dissolving in 50% ethanol by using calcium ions. where samples were obtained from alginate and containing (0.2-7%) of calcium, has also been studying the properties of hydrogels in samples calcium alginate. The purpose of this article is to develop the distribution of the melting of alginic acid, which is the way we have sought to achieve in this article.

study the role of an insect house fly Musca domestica in the transfer cyst parasite Giardia lamblia and Entamoeba histolytica causes of diarrhea in the province of Babylon

The study included the investigation of the role of an insect house fly Musca domestica in the mechanical transport of intestinal parasites that cause diarrhea and is Giardia lamblia and Entamoeba histolytica, by exposing the insects to the stool of people injured and then examined samples from the water washing insects each insect individually to determine the percentage of transfer where the percentage (60, 80 and 60)%, respectively, in the tests conducted. the study also demonstrated the role of Musca domestica and its ability to transfer intestinal parasites cyst to food, causing contamination of the food.

Effect of foliar nutrition with P and K on the growth and yield of wheat

Factorial field experiment was carried out during 2014/2015 season in a private farm located in Al-Hashemia (20 km south of Hilla city), to study the response of wheat to phosphorus and potassium as foliar nutrition on vegetative growth and yield. Randomized complete block design (RCBD) with three replications was used, which included three concentrations of potassium (K2O), K1, K2, and K3 (1000, 2000 and 3000) mg.l-1 respectively as well as the control K0( sprayed with distilled water only), and three concentrations of phosphorus (P2O5) , P1, P2 and P3 (1000, 2000 and 3000) mg.l-1 respectively as well as the control P0 (sprayed with distilled water only) . Wheat (IPA 99 variety) was seeded at 15/11/2014. Data were analyzed and the averages were compared according to the least significant difference(LSD). The results showed that spraying potassium and phosphorous at (2000 mg K20.l-1 and P2O5.l-1 ), respectively caused significant increases in most vegetative growth traits (plant height, leaf area and spike length) and grain yield. Spraying phosphorus at 1000 mg P2O5.l-1 (P1) was superior by giving highest rate of dry root weight. The interaction between these two factors had a significant effect on all studied traits.

Isolation Staphylococcus aureus and Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus from patients in Sacred Kerbela governate and diagnosis in PCR technology

This study included the isolation of sensitive Staphylococcus aureus and Methicillin-resistance S. aureus ( MRSA) and diagnosis bacteria . 18 isolates of S. aureus were obtained from different parts of patient’s bodies hospitalized in Al-Hussein hospital in Sacred Kerbalaa governate by two (11.11%) from burns ,One (5.55%) from ear , One (5.55%) from wounds, Three isolates (16.66%) from urine , Two (11.11%) from vagaina, Three (16.66%) from blood and six (33.33%) from nasal .
Isolates above were diagnosed by PCR technique and it turns out that the 18 isolates containing femA gene which confirmed that all belong to S. aureus while nine isolates containing mecA gene which gave it antibiotic resistance (MRSA) .
This study also included a sensitivity test for S. aureus isolates to several antibiotics and it turns out that all isolates were resistant to penicillin while all sensitive to vancomycin
