Therefore, the current study searched the political situation in Mauritania through Iraqi documents 1979-1982. In addition, the value of the information contained in the search comes the fact that the documents used in it have not been published. It's also came from a neutral party (Iraq). The study searched most of the events in Mauritania, but what he singled out the problem of Western Sahara. This study tried to detect the most important developments that prevailed in Mauritania interior, as well as focusing on a converted coup against Mohamed Khouna Ould Haidalla 1981, and the movement of Arabization and social reforms and their impact on the internal and external relations of Mauritania. تأتي اهمية البحث كونه محاولة لتسليط الضوء على احدى جوانب التاريخ الموريتاني في مدة محددة ,فجاء البحث ((الاوضاع السياسية في موريتانيا من خلال الوثائق العراقية 1979-1982)), وان قيمة المعلومات الواردة في البحث تأتي كون الوثائق المستخدمة فيه لم تنشر .كذلك جاءت من طرف محايد هو( العراق ). واختص البحث في اغلب احداث موريتانيا الا ما خص مشكلة الصحراء الغربية, حاولت هذه الدراسة الكشف عن اهم التطورات التي سادت موريتانيا الداخلية ,فضلا عن التركيز على محولة الانقلاب ضد محمد خونا ولد هيدالة عام 1981.وحركة التعريب والاصلاحات الاجتماعية واثرها في علاقات موريتانيا الداخلية والخارجية. https://kj.uokerbala.edu.iq/article_106067_327f4c144b55fb55379603c73e6b3c1b.pdf
